Business Courses

Currently, we offer six elective courses from which you may choose... Start early and maybe you can take them all before you graduate!

General Business

In this course we will learn about basic economics, personal finance and banking, and risk management. This class is a great introduction to business practices and also life skills.  Taking general business any time before you leave DC-G will serve you well!

In this course you will be briefly introduced to general computer terminology and the latest Macintosh Operating System.  We will work extensively with the Microsoft Office applications Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. After completing this course, you will be highly knowledgeable in creating, editting, and formatting documents, presentations, and database spreadsheets. 

Microsoft Office I & II
Accounting

This course will prepare you for both personal and business finacial skills.  We will cover basic accounting terminology and practices for operating a sole proprietorship and move into accounting practices for operating a merchandising business organized as a corporation. Completion of this course will also have you ready  for any post secondary accounting classes in the future.

This course will discuss the what and why about law. It will exam how law influences our own lives and everyday business practices while preparing us to be better citizens and employees in our communities.  

Are you a creative person? Are you willing to take risks? Do you wish to improve our society and economy?  Entrepreneurs are key players in our world for helping shape the future and how we live our lives.  This class will teach you to analyze market opportunities, create new ideas, develope a business plan, and sell your product!  Who knows? You could be the next Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Richard Branson, or more!
